What is Massage Therapy?

Image
Massage therapy is a form of alternative therapy which helps muscles recover, reduce pain, and many other symptoms. As a chiropractor, I believe that the coordination of massage therapy and chiropractic care is a symbiotic relationship in response to the patient's best treatment plan. Massage therapy  can involve many types, including deep tissue, Swedish, effleurage, percussion, and depending on your symptoms may indicate which type of massage may be best for you. If you are in pain or have an injury, give massage therapy and chiropractic care a try.

What Does a Chiropractor Do?

A chiropractor is a specialist in helping conditions associated with the spinal column , its articulations and the associated muscular and nervous systems. During a chiropractic visit, you will fill out a detailed health history describing your condition, and the chiropractor will conduct an exam on the involved areas. The chiropractor exam includes range of motion testing, muscle testing, orthopedic testing and these results will all be incorporated into your final diagnosis. The chiropractor will put you on a treatment plan that is appropriate for your condition, and ask you if you have any questions regarding your careplan. If you suffer from back pain, muscle aches and pains, or just need a check up, call the chiropractor today.
